VO LAB: Not just cold but FROZEN reading skills!

Saturday, July 8th

1-4PM

You need to get fast on your feet.  Sometimes you’ll get 24 hours to look at a script.  And then they change it on you.  Twice.  In the studio.  And now you need four characters.  Can you do that with an Italian accent?  And a lisp?

This is a fast-paced workout to see just how quickly you can learn to make choices, give great performances and not just learn to cold read, but perform at a high level with NO rehearsal. This workshop is part of the 2017 Voiceover Lab Series.

7-9pm

51osyTZdS+LLocation:  300 S. Bennett St. Seattle, WA 98108

Warming up really counts.  And learning to do it well can make the difference between booking the job… and not.  Work with Shana Pennington-Baird, recently back from studying with the Tuscany Project in Prague, and learn Roy Hart Theatre style physical and vocal warm ups.  Follow that with some of the hardest tongue twisters imaginable.  Work with Rod Saulsberry’s new book, Tongue Twisters and Vocal Warm-Ups with Other Vocal Care, and learn how to warm up by voice-over genre!

This workshop is not a singing warm up — it will work for teachers, voiceover artists, singers, narrators, and anyone who uses their voice every day and needs it to sound great!

$75, includes a copy of Rod Saulsberry’s Tongue Twisters and Vocal Warm-Ups with Other Vocal Care
